If your dog is able to use its hind legs, then they should be able to continue using them whilst in their wheelchair.

Please remember that every dog is different, so do not feel under any pressure to rush things.  Allow your dog to get used to seeing the wheelchair around. Begin by getting them used to wearing the harness that comes with the wheelchair.  Remember to start off with short outings. Make it enjoyable and rewarding for them. A lot of praise and treats will be required.  Before you know it, it will be the new norm.

No, we're not a loan/hire company.  We're here to support people who can't afford to purchase the equipment (although we do need to ask for shipment costs to be paid).  Instead of a loan/hire fee we ask for regular updates, which we share with our supporters.

We ask that any damage is reported immediately so that we can arrange for a repair or exchange. 

You can pimp your dog's ride, as long as the changes aren't permanent.  Please remember the equipment remains the property of Winston's Wheels, and it will be used many times and by different dogs.

This was put in place when we received charity status. And it's so that we can keep track of every piece of equipment.  Our strollers and wheelchairs are in short supply and we have a long waiting list, so knowing who is using what helps us to manage the expectations of owners who are desperate to give their dogs the freedom they deserve, so they can continue to enjoy life to the full.

For as long as the named dog on the agreement form needs it.  All we ask is that you keep sending us regular updates.  And please don't forget to return it as soon as you can if your dog passes away, or can't get used to using it.  We all know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet, but perhaps you will get comfort from knowing that you're helping another family in need.

No, all our wheelchairs and strollers are the property of the charity, and we need to continue to grow our stocks of equipment so that we can help as many families as possible to keep their pets on the road and living fulfilling lives.

The wheelchairs we use are approved by USA veterinary professionals and more recently recommended by UK vets.

No, as unfortunately due to the logistics of our equipment going to and from various locations, it would be very difficult for us to keep track of them outside of the UK - not to mention the expense and complexity of sending items overseas.
